Former Reporter Christina Chambers Found Dead Alongside Husband in Murder-Suicide (lifeandstylemag.com) — Alabaster residents are mourning former THS TV Broadcasting Academy director Christina Chambers, who was found dead with her husband in what Hoover Police say appears to be a murder-suicide, while their young child was unharmed. Kelsey Collum approved as HMS assistant principal (shelbycountyreporter.com) — An Alabaster-based Shelby County Board of Education meeting has approved Kelsey Collum as the new assistant principal at Helena Middle School, a short drive from Alabaster. Collum, a longtime Shelby County educator with special education experience and prior administrative work at Calera High, will help lead a school many Alabaster families choose for their middle-schoolers.
