• State champion Coosa Christian reinstates football coach Mark O'Bryant (al.com) — Ashville football fans may remember Mark O’Bryant, who once led the Bulldogs and has now been reinstated as head coach at state champion Coosa Christian after a season-long suspension. Rush Propst guided Coosa to a 13-game win streak and state title this year, but the school has chosen to return the program to O’Bryant’s leadership going forward.
