• Jefferson County coroner seeks help identifying 2 men (wbrc.com) — Jefferson County officials are asking Bessemer residents to help identify a man found deceased in June inside a condemned home on 17th Street North. They’re also seeking information on a second unidentified man discovered earlier this month beside a Family Dollar on Bessemer Road in Birmingham. Families of missing loved ones matching either description are urged to contact the coroner’s office. 
• Man charged in connection to West Brownville homicide (wbrc.com) — A man wanted in a Birmingham homicide was arrested just hours later in the 6300 block of 10th Street South in Bessemer. Police say the suspect is charged with murder after a shooting outside a Jefferson Avenue Food Mart. Authorities are also asking for help locating any relatives of the victim, Harold King.
