2 Pedestrians Killed By Trains In Birmingham

In separate incidents, two men were killed when they were hit by trains in Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two fatalities have been reported in Birmingham involving pedestrians and trains. One man died Sunday and another died Tuesday morning. A WBRC report said the man who died Tuesday has not been identified, but Sunday's victim has been identified as 64-year-old Ronald Baskett.

Baskett was killed when he was struck by a train on Vanderbilt Road just after 4 a.m. Sunday. The second fatality occurred at Boise Avenue and 31st Street SW.
