26-Year-Old Man Killed In West Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in west Birmingham Saturday. The shooting occurred at 108 Dougan Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

Police found the victim, Joshua Rogers of Birmingham, dead on the scene.

"Two persons of interest were detained at a nearby gas station and will be questioned by

investigators," Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said. "A clear motive has not been established, however it appears Rogers was the target of an ambush."
