BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting Saturday on Parkway East in Birmingham. Jureil Dowdell,19, and a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with murder.

Both men were arrested after a brief pursuit with East Precinct patrol officers. They both are being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bail.

The preliminary investigation suggests an argument took place inside the business and escalated into gunfire. The victims were identified as Cornelius Ja'Shawn Hilliard, 21, and Reginald Curtis Crawford Jr., 26. Officers located two additional male victims on the scene who were wounded by gunfire from inside of the business, police said.
