  2. A Birmingham man was killed during a single-vehicle crash on Hillcrest Road at Interstate 22 on Wednesday. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the man as 73-year-old Ernest Lee King Jr. The cause of the crash is currently unknown at this time. The Adamsville Police Department responded to the crash. (AL.com)
  3. Mercedes-Benz Marathon has announced its final race weekend will be in Birmingham from Feb. 10 through Feb. 12. The Mercedes-Benz Marathon Weekend of Events directly benefits The Bell Center for Early Intervention Programs. The community is invited to celebrate the grand finale next year in February.
