Man Dies In Thursday Morning Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A fatal shooting Thursday morning in Birmingham is under investigation. The incident occurred at a residence at 4705 Kingston Avenue.

Police responded to a call from a neighbor who spotted the victim on the floor through a window of the residence. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin said details are limited thus far in the investigation and no suspects are in custody.
