Man Shot And Killed At Apartment Complex In North Birmingham

A deadly shooting Monday night in north Birmingham claimed the life of a 26-year-old Birmingham man.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 26-year-old Birmingham man was shot and killed Monday night in north Birmingham. The shooting occurred just after 7 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of 33rd Street North.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said Joshua Isaiah Carpenter was found dead at the residence after reports of gunfire were received at the North Precinct.

Fitzgerald said details are limited in the investigation and no one in custody.
