BIRMINGHAM, AL — This past week in the Birmingham metro, Hoover made headlines — more specifically, Hoover police — with two arrests that would likely nor be classified as routine for the community.

The first involved a man who was caught vandalizing police vehicles leading police on a pursuit through an otherwise quiet Hoover neighborhood. The other involved a 15-year-old kid who made some serious threats online against Hoover and Spain Park students.

Gunman In Custody After Pursuit By Hoover Police

The series of events began at the Hoover Operations Center on Lorna Road, when a man was seen slashing tires of police cruisers, and ended just after 2 a.m. when he was taken into custody in the Green Valley neighborhood.
