Hello, people of Birmingham! It's me again, Michael Seale, your host of the Birmingham Daily. Let's get this day started with some local news knowledge, alright? One of the coolest Birmingham stories I have read in a long time happened yesterday, as Red Mountain Park finished excavating a 19th century mine, which they plan to reopen for a walking tour. How cool is that?! Also in the news yesterday and also pretty cool is that UAB's School of mEdicine received a record $95 million gift from a doctor in Dothan who has been a longtime supporter. UAB will rename the medical school in his honor. Read more about those stories and about other news items from the day. And have a wonderful Wednesday!
