Warrior Police Officer Shot, Suspect In Custody: Report
Det. Lee Glenn of the Warrior Police Department was shot multiple times during a drug investigation Thursday.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — An officer with the Warrior Police Department was shot multiple times during a drug investigation Thursday. Det. Lee Glenn was taken to UAB Hospital and is in stable condition, according to an AL.com report.
Glenn, 33, was investigating a drug trafficking case when gunfire erupted around 9:40 p.m. on McCart Drive. Glenn was shot multiple times, and while he did return fire, the shooter was not hit. The suspect was, however, taken into custody by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation, which will lead the probe.
