• Calhoun county deputies involved in a high-speed shootout (wbrc.com) — Heflin Police officers helped stop a dangerous high-speed chase that began in Calhoun County and continued into Cleburne County, ending with two suspects arrested after shots were fired at deputies. Local officers executed a risky PIT maneuver on I-20 near Heflin, and no injuries were reported, though the suspects now face serious felony charges including attempted murder.
