Man Who Fell From Overpass In Hoover Identified

A Gadsden man died after falling from an overpass onto I-65 in Hoover Wednesday night.

HOOVER, AL — A man who fell to his death from an overpass in Hoover onto I-65 has been identified as 42-year-old Charles Eugene Mullins of Gadsden. Mullins fell from the overpass late Wednesday night.

Hoover police said Mullins fell onto the southbound lane of the interstate at the 249.5 mile mark. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead early Thursday morning.

The Hoover Police Department said investigators looking into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
