Police ID stolen car suspect found dead in lake days later (whio.com) — A 47-year-old man from Hoover was found dead in Grand Lake, Ohio, days after police say he fled an attempted pickup truck theft at a Celina car lot on Christmas. Investigators used home security video to trace his path into the water, later recovering burglary tools and his body as they continue probing what happened.

Basketball Recap: Grayson Comes Up Short (maxpreps.com) — Hoover’s girls basketball team extended its winning streak to 15 games with a dominant 57–20 win over highly ranked Grayson, improving to 15–1. The Buccaneers now turn around quickly to face Grissom at 9 a.m. Tuesday, while Grayson meets Bob Jones at noon in another marquee matchup of standout guards.
