New Mixed-Use Development Possibly Coming To Hoover Area

A development similar to Ross Bridge is possibly coming to a site off Shannon Road near Ross Bridge Parkway.

HOOVER, AL — A new mixed-use development is possibly coming to the Hoover area. A developer has proposed a $100 million project for land at 1911 Tiger Walk off Shannon Road near Ross Bridge Parkway, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.

The project, proposed by Green Meadow Apartments LLC, would include more than 900 workforce housing units, 80 single-family homes, 200 senior housing units, 100 condominiums, multifamily housing units and a town center that will include office space, grocery stores and other retail options.

The developer confirmed to the Birmingham City Council that this community will be "similar to Ross Bridge for the city of Birmingham," according to the BBJ report.
