• Hoover City Council OKs letter of intent to sell office building (hooversun.com) — Hoover’s City Council has approved a plan to sell its unused Lorna Road office building to a buyer planning a sleep clinic that could bring new jobs, renovations, and property tax revenue benefiting city schools. Council members also funded repairs at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, backed legal-fee reimbursement for a councilman, and supported programs and internships at the Hoover Senior Center.

• 'I don't feel safe': Woman describes break-in while home, Hoover PD investigates (abc3340.com) — Hoover police are investigating a frightening October 20 break-in at a Moss Rock-area home where a woman says a stranger shattered a window and tried her locked bedroom door while she was inside. The new police chief stresses such in-progress home burglaries are extremely rare in Hoover, but says forensics and video searches are ongoing and victim services are available.
