Possible Murder-Suicide Under Investigation In Hoover
A 53-year-old man and his 51-year-old wife are dead in what police believe was a murder-suicide.
HOOVER, AL — Hoover police are investigating a possible murder suicide case after an incident Thursday afternoon.
Just after 5 p.m. Thursday, officers found a 53-year-old man, identified as Robert Scott Montana, suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 1500 block of Fairway View Drive, according to a report from the Hoover Police Department.
While investigating this scene, additional units were dispatched to the 4500 block of Highland Crest Circle to conduct a welfare check on the victim’s wife, 51-year-old Holly Elizabeth Montana.

Hoover police found Holly Montana dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators believe she was killed Wednesday night. Both investigations are in the early stages, but evidence suggests that they are connected, police said.
