- Police are investigating after a woman's body was found in a pond in Montgomery. Officers and medics responded to the scene near Alderwood Way around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As of Friday, officials had not released the victim's identity. (WSFA 12)
- The Alabama Shakespeare Festival has announced its 2023-2024 lineup, featuring a total of six productions. The Montgomery-based theatre will offer performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Christmas Carol, and more. Tickets for all of this year's productions will go on sale on Aug. 1. (WAKA 8)
- The City of Montgomery and the Montgomery Housing Authority have launched a revitalization project for the area of Centennial Hill and Paterson Court. Upgrades will include new sidewalks and the installation of new lights at underpasses in the area. The project is intended to increase pedestrian safety and sustainable development.
