• National Get Out and Skate Day coming to Pelham Civic Complex (shelbycountyreporter.com) — Free ice skating, beginner lessons, and exhibitions are happening this morning at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena for National Get Out and Skate Day, running 9:30–11 a.m. Skaters of all ages and experience levels are welcome, with free admission and $3 skate rentals. Professional coaches will be on the ice offering hands-on instruction and support. 
• How to reuse your Christmas tree + drop-off locations in the Birmingham area (bhamnow.com) — Pelham residents can recycle their live Christmas trees at Pelham City Park, where marked drop-off spots are set up in the parking lot. The guide also lists additional recycling locations across Shelby County and Birmingham, plus tips to safely reuse trees at home. Be sure to remove all decorations and drop trees off before they dry out too much.
