(shelbycountyreporter.com) — A new faith-based day resource center, The Resting Place of Pelham, is launching at First Baptist Church Pelham to support homeless and low-income women and children in Shelby County. Led by founder Claridy, who has lived experience with homelessness, the ministry will help with IDs, housing, food and utilities. A public ribbon cutting and grand opening is set for Jan. 31, 2026.
