β’ Russell County jury acquits man on capital murder charges, finds him guilty of manslaughter in 2019 double arson deaths (wrbl.com) β A Russell County jury in Phenix City found Ricky Mack Morris guilty of two counts of manslaughter in the 2019 arson deaths of an elderly Phenix City couple, while acquitting him of capital murder. Heβll be sentenced January 30 and could face up to life in prison because of a prior conviction, after spending more than six years in jail awaiting trial.
