• Pike County Board of Education approves bid award for Goshen Art Complex; approves personnel actions (troymessenger.com) — Pike County’s school board has approved a $3.69 million bid to turn Goshen High School’s old gym into a new arts complex, while also selling 2.25 acres on Mockingbird Lane in Troy and renewing the Troy Resilience Project partnership. Members also approved new contracts, travel for staff and students, and several key personnel changes that will shape local classrooms and athletics.
   

• Troy overwhelms ODU women in teams' Sun Belt opener (pilotonline.com) — Troy University’s women’s basketball team continued its hot start, dominating Old Dominion 81-59 in the Sun Belt opener behind a huge double-double from Zay Dyer. The Trojans, now 10-1 with seven straight wins, controlled the boards and free-throw line to back up their high preseason conference ranking.
