Fatal Crash Shuts Down I-59 Near Trussville
A fatal crash on I-59 northbound Thursday morning shut the interstate down for hours at the 141 mile-marker.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — A fatal crash on I-59 northbound near Trussville shut down the interstate Thursday morning. The crash involved a a garbage truck and a pickup truckat the 141 mile-marker, according to the Trussville Tribune.
Police said the wreck occurred due to the paving near Deerfoot Parkway.
“It is still under investigation,” Lieutenant Clint Riner told the Trussville Tribune. “That stretch between the 141 and the 143 will be shut down for an unknown amount of time.”
