Huskies, Indians, Cougars Make All State Football Teams

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association's 2021 All-State football teams were announced over the weekend, and multiple players from the Trussville area are part of the teams.

For Class 7A Hewitt-Trussville was represented well on the All-State list:

First Team

• OL Riley Quick
• WR Omari Kelly
• DL Justice Finkley

Second Team

• RB James Hammonds
• DL Hunter Osborne

In Class 6A, state champion Clay-Chalkville's head coach Drew Gilmer was named Coach of the Year, and the the team landed several players on the All-State list:

First Team

• QB Khalib Johnson
• RB Edward Osley
• LB DJ Barber
• ATH Jaylen Mbakwe

Second Team

• WR Marquarius White
• DB Jayden Sweeney

Pinson Valley lineman Cameron Ambrose was named to the Class 6A Second Team.

Center Point DL DeRaiven Crawford and DB KeMarius Horne were named Second team All-State in Class 5A.
