• Trussville receives grant to connect sidewalk system to Cahaba River trail (wbrc.com) — Trussville is using a new $30,000 grant to close a key sidewalk gap and safely link neighborhoods and Cahaba Elementary to the Cahaba River Walking Trail. City leaders say the project, demonstrated from Veterans Memorial Park to Cherokee Drive, will improve public safety and give teachers and students easier outdoor learning access to the river.
   

• One campus, two paths, one unbreakable bond (uwa.edu) — Twin sisters from Trussville are wrapping up their studies at the University of West Alabama, with Grace gaining classroom experience through an internship at Cahaba Elementary in Trussville. Grace now hopes to land a teaching role in one of Trussville’s three elementary schools, while Claire pursues conservation and fieldwork opportunities after graduation.
