Trussville Committee Reviewing Candidates For School Board Seat
A committee of city officials is reviewing applications for its next new board member, as the deadline to apply for the seat has passed.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — Members of a newly appointed committee of city and school officials are reviewing applications to choose the next Trussville City Schools board member. A Trussville Tribune report said Trussville City Council will choose the next member of the board, but the council developed the committee of five to narrow down the candidates.
The committee consists of:
- Barry Choat; Mayor, City of Trussville
- Alan Taylor; President, Trussville City Council
- Lisa Bright; Trussville City Council BOE liaison
- Mandy Dixon; HR Director, City of Trussville
- Kathy Brown; President, Trussville City School Board
Members of the committee met Feb. 8 to review applications and are currently in the process of selecting candidates to interview.
