Trussville Residents Part Of Champion JSU Marching Band
Jacksonville State's marching band was awarded the top prize in college bands - the prestigious Sudler Trophy.

JACKSONVILLE, AL β Jacksonville State University's marching band, The Marching Southerners, has won the top prize for college bands β the prestigious Sudler Trophy from the John Phillip Sousa Foundation β and also been invited to represent the US in Normandy, France, at the 80th anniversary of D-Day in June 2024.
Several Trussville-area residents are members of the JSU band, including:
