Registration Opens For 3rd Annual 'Tee Off for TSNIP' Golf Tournament

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Spay Neuter Incentive Program (TSNIP) is gearing up for its third annual golf tournament fundraiser next month.

Organizers say the 2024 Tee Off for TSNIP tournament will be held the morning of Wednesday, March 20 at the NorthRiver Golf Club.

Sponsorships are available and all donations are tax-deductible. The price for individual golfers will be $300, while foursomes will be priced at $1,200.

TSNIP was founded in the spring of 2013 to reduce the unwanted domestic animal population in the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Area. The nonprofit works to accomplish this through two main programs — community education and feral cat control.

Its efforts have reportedly resulted in Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter’s euthanasia of feral cats and kittens being reduced from approximately 2,000 per year in past years to fewer than 120 in 2022.
