Alabama Softball To Host NCAA Regional For 20th Straight Year

Alabama softball is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the 26th consecutive season and will host a regional for the 20th straight year.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama softball is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the 26th consecutive season and will host a regional for the 20th straight year.

The Crimson Tide (37-21) will welcome Virginia Tech (41-11), Belmont (40-14) and Jackson State (29-23) to Rhoads Stadium for the Tuscaloosa Regional, beginning Friday, May 16.

The action opens at 2:30 p.m. with Belmont taking on Virginia Tech, followed by Alabama’s first-round matchup against Jackson State at 5 p.m. Both games will stream live on ESPN+.

Alabama has appeared in every NCAA Tournament since 1999 — the first season under longtime head coach Patrick Murphy.

The program has hosted 21 regionals overall, including every year since 2005.

The Crimson Tide owns a 71-12 (.855) record in NCAA Regional play and has advanced to the Super Regional round in 18 of 19 seasons under the current format.

Fans will be able to purchase all-session Brickyard tickets starting Monday at 9 a.m. via RollTide.com, with single-session tickets available Thursday, May 15 if supplies last.
