Alabama's Nate Oats Serving As Court Coach For USA U19 National Team

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats will serve as a court coach for the 2025 USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team training camp beginning this week in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

USA Basketball announced on Monday that 33 athletes and the coaching staff will be participating in the camp at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

The 12-member team roster will be finalized before the team departs for the 2025 FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Switzerland.

Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd will lead the U19 team, with Texas Tech’s Grant McCasland and Notre Dame’s Micah Shrewsberry serving as assistant coaches.

Oats will be joined by fellow court coaches Hubert Davis of North Carolina and Mark Pope of Kentucky.

Entering his seventh season at Alabama, Oats has compiled a 145-63 overall record and led the Crimson Tide to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances for the first in program history.

Alabama has set the school record for most points scored in a season in each of the past two years under Oats, with the 2024-25 team averaging a nation-leading 90.7 points per game while scoring 3,355 total points.
