Brock Jones Tapped To Chair United Way's 2024 Fundraising Campaign
Thornhill Capital Management partner and philanthropist Brock Jones has been selected as the 2024 UWWA campaign chair.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The United Way of West Alabama (UWWA) on Wednesday announced that Thornhill Capital Management partner and philanthropist Brock Jones has been selected as its 2024 UWWA campaign chair.

Those serving a chair are tasked with setting the annual campaign goal, helping identify new funding sources and building relationships with community leaders and corporate donors for financial support for the nonprofit's 30 partner agencies across area.

UWWA praised Jones for his leadership and longtime support, pointing out that Jones previously served on the UWWA Board of Directors as its treasurer. Jones is also credited with heading up the efforts as president of UWWA’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society Executive Committee, which reached the 100 members milestone mark in 2017.
“We have often relied on Brock’s leadership, not just as a financial advisor on the Board, but as someone who has bold goals and strategic plans to help us reach those goals,” UWWA President and CEO Jackie Wuska said. “We feel very fortunate to have Brock serving as our Campaign Chair this year. He has a compassionate heart and great vision for how we can best support our West Alabama community.”

Jones’ first began his charitable work while employed at AmSouth Bank, before going on to become involved with numerous local groups and causes. Jones is also actively involved in the Exchange Club’s Character First Initiative.
Other groups Jones is involved with include: the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board, Children’s Hands-On Museum, Tuscaloosa County Civil Service Board, Tuscaloosa Preservation Society, Tuscaloosa Exchange Club, Northridge High School Baseball Boosters, Alabama Bar Association, Tuscaloosa Estate Planning Council, American Red Cross, Warrior Baseball, West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, Tuscaloosa Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Delta Kappa Epsilon House Corporation.
