Bryant Bank Promotes Mike Mitchell To Chief Administrative Officer

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Bryant Bank recently announced the promotion of Mike Mitchell to chief administrative officer.

The Tuscaloosa-based financial institution said Mitchell will continue to serve in his current role as chief credit officer while taking on expanded administrative leadership responsibilities.

“I’m honored to take on this expanded role at such an exciting time in Bryant Bank’s history,” he said. “As we celebrate 20 years of Bryant Bank this year, I look forward to leading our talented teams and implementing strategic initiatives that will strengthen our bank’s business operations while continuing to serve our customers and communities with excellence.”

Mitchell first joined Bryant Bank in 2019 and boasts extensive experience from high-level lending and credit administration roles within the Alabama banking industry.

Mitchell also served 35 years in the Alabama Army National Guard, retiring as a brigadier general.

“Mike has earned tremendous respect throughout his career as both a distinguished military leader and accomplished banker,” Bryant Bank President Claude Edwards said. “His proven leadership abilities and unwavering commitment to service make him the ideal choice for this expanded role as we continue growing and serving Alabama communities.”

In his expanded role, Mitchell will lead multiple departments within the bank and oversee new projects and initiatives as Bryant Bank approaches $3 billion in assets.

Mitchell is a Tuscaloosa resident and graduate of the University of Alabama’s School of Business.

He also currently serves as a board member for the Community Foundation of West Alabama, has been part of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association of West Alabama since 2023, and is a member of the Public Affairs Council for the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama.

Mitchell lives in Tuscaloosa with his wife, Kim. Their son, Collin, is a University of Alabama graduate who resides in Birmingham.
