Bryant High Student Charged For Allegedly Bringing Gun To School

A student at Bryant High School was taken into police custody Tuesday for allegedly bringing a handgun to school.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A student at Bryant High School was taken into police custody Tuesday for allegedly bringing a handgun to school.

Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said the school resource officer at Bryant was alerted at 2:25 p.m. by a faculty member that a student had been found with a weapon.

She then said the 15-year-old student was taken into custody and charged with certain persons forbidden from possessing a firearm.
