TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alternative rock band CAKE will headline a spring concert at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater on Saturday, April 25, 2026, venue officials announced Monday.

Tickets will go on sale Oct. 17 on the amphitheater’s website.

Known for their deadpan vocals and minimalist sound, CAKE rose to fame in the 1990s with hits such as “The Distance" and “Short Skirt/Long Jacket."
The Sacramento-based band formed in 1991 and gained a national following with the 1996 album "Fashion Nugget."

The band's sound blends rock, funk, country and spoken-word elements, anchored by lead singer John McCrea’s distinctive delivery.
