California Woman Killed In ATV Crash In Bibb County
A California woman is dead following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash Sunday afternoon in Bibb County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A California woman is dead following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash Sunday afternoon in Bibb County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said that the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday, when the 2016 Can-Am Commander ATV driven by Zelina R. Rosales, 31, of San Diego, left the roadway and struck a ditch.

ALEA says Rosales was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 25-year-old passenger — a native of Riverhead, New York — was injured and transported to Bibb Medical Center in Centreville for medical treatment.

ALEA said the crash occurred on Lawley Junction Road, approximately 10 miles north of the Chilton County line.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
