City To Host Lake Tuscaloosa Clean-Up Day On May 3
The City of Tuscaloosa's water division is gearing up to host a lake cleanup next week.

Dubbed "Love Our Lakes Day," the event will be on Saturday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lake Tuscaloosa’s Rock Quarry Boat Landing.

The community-driven initiative, made possible by Russell Marine, will focus on preserving the natural beauty and health of Lake Tuscaloosa.
The city says volunteers will receive garbage bags and litter pick-up gear provided by the City of Tuscaloosa's Environmental Services.

What's more, the city said the first 150 volunteers to arrive will receive a free T-shirt. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants while supplies last.
Volunteers with boats are also encouraged to bring them to help clean up hard-to-reach areas of the lake, while volunteers without boats will be assigned to city boats.
