The Community Foundation of West Alabama (CFWA) on Monday announced the recipients of its spring grant cycle.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Community Foundation of West Alabama (CFWA) on Monday announced the recipients of its spring grant cycle.

In total, grants were awarded to 12 local nonprofits, with the grants funded by Endowment Funds within the CFWA.

The grants are awarded twice each year based on an application process. Funds are available to support various cultural, health, social and educational programs in Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.
Over its 25 years of operation, the nonprofit has presented over $25 million to charitable causes.

- LaCell Sherman, Motorcycle Therapy Inc.
- Bill Gosselin, Boy Scouts of America
