DCH Northport To Host Students For Teddy Bear & Doll Clinic

TUSCALOOSA, AL β DCH's Northport Medical Center on Tuesday will host a Teddy Bear and Doll Clinic for first graders from its Adopt-A-School partner, Flatwoods Elementary.

The event at the Womenβs Pavilion will see students bring a stuffed animal to the hospital for treatment, in an effort to educate and familiarize children with the medical environment.

This will also help the children become more comfortable with going to the doctor or to the hospital for treatment, in addition to learning the basics of first aid.
Along with the Teedy Bear and Doll Clinic, Northstar Emergency Medical Services will be on hand to show students what to expect if they have to come to the hospital in an ambulance.
