DCH Promotes Rutley To Privacy Officer & Director Of Compliance

TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System on Friday announced the promotion of Rosie Rutley to privacy officer and director of compliance, effective Oct. 6.

Rutley has worked for nearly 30 years with DCH, previously serving as the assistant director of compliance.

“Rosie will bring her forward-thinking vision, vast experience, and patient-centered focus to her role, helping DCH in its commitment to integrity, ethical behavior, and compliance,” Chief Compliance Officer Brent Freeman said. “Her promotion marks an important step for the hospital in furthering its mission to provide safe, compliant, and compassionate care to the community.”

Rutley will oversee critical areas such as HIPAA privacy, drug diversion and compliance, working to ensure all departments adhere to regulatory standards to prevent fraud, waste or abuse.

Rutley will also collaborate closely with the executive team and department leaders to enhance DCH’s focus on ethical practices and regulatory excellence.

She holds a degree in healthcare administration with a minor in healthcare management and is certified in both healthcare compliance and healthcare privacy compliance.
