Edie Hand To Headline Womenβs Leadership Alliance Celebration
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama's Women's Leadership Alliance will host its Annual Celebration on Dec. 2 at Hotel Capstone

TUSCALOOSA, AL β The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabamaβs Womenβs Leadership Alliance will host its Annual Celebration on Dec. 2 at Hotel Capstone, featuring Alabama author, filmmaker and philanthropist Edie Hand as the keynote speaker.

The luncheon event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will highlight womenβs leadership in business and the community. Handβs address will focus on perseverance, mentorship and empowerment through her Women of True Grit movement, which encourages women to share their stories to inspire others.

βThe way I see it is we are a True Grit sisterhood to give a hand up to others through Pearls of Hope,β Hand said in a statement announcing the event.
Hand has written more than 25 books and produced numerous television and radio projects through partnerships with Alabama media networks.

She is also the founder of the Edie Hand Foundation, which promotes acts of kindness and supports programs for youth and community leaders.
The Womenβs Leadership Alliance, a division of the Chamber, provides networking and professional development opportunities for women across West Alabama.
The Annual Celebration marks the culmination of a yearlong series of βLunch and Learnβ programs designed to foster connection and growth among local women leaders.
