TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Eutaw man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Greene County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the wreck occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. Sunday when the 2019 Honda Accord driven by Demarcus K. Hayes, 30, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

ALEA said Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene on Interstate 59, approximately three miles west of Eutaw.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
