Event Schedule Revealed For Fourth Of July Celebration On The River

The City of Tuscaloosa on Monday announced it will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration on the River on Friday, July 4.

TUSCALOOA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa on Monday announced it will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration on the River on Friday, July 4, at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.

This free event is open to the public and will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., featuring fireworks, live music, kids’ activities and more.

The city encourages attendees to park in the free Downtown Intermodal Facility and take a shuttle or walk to the amphitheater.

Accessible parking will be available in the amphitheater box office parking lot and the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater's clear bag policy will be in effect for this event.

Here's a schedule of events:

  • 6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. Kids Zone in West and East Plazas featuring face painting and inflatable games
  • 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. DJ Tank Performance
  • 7:30 p.m. – 7:50 p.m. Drum Nation Performance
  • 7:55 p.m. – 8:55 p.m. Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Performance
  • 9 p.m. Fireworks begin after brief remarks from Mayor Walt Maddox
