The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa on Friday honored several local police officers as part of its annual awards.

TUSCALOOSA, AL β The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa on Friday honored several local police officers as part of its annual Law Enforcement Officers of the Year awards ceremony.

The club has presented the annual awards since the late 1960s, with this year's feature speaker being Alabama Supreme Court Justice Sarah Stewart.

"Thank you to our Exchange Club members, guests and especially our circuit, district and municipal judges as well as our local elected officials who showed up to support these officers and their agencies," Exchange Club President Glenn Smith said.

- University of Alabama Police Department Investigator Deandre Spencer.
