TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Fayette man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash near Reform in Pickens County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. when a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by Jacori L. Whitson, 34, left the roadway and struck a tree.

ALEA says Whitson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deadly crash occurred on Alabama Highway 17, approximately seven miles north of Reform, in Pickens County.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
