Flood Watch Issued For Tuscaloosa County Through Thursday Evening
The NWS forecast office in Birmingham has issued a Flood Watch for Tuscaloosa County and much of west Alabama through Thursday evening.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The National Weather Service forecast office in Birmingham has issued a Flood Watch for Tuscaloosa County and much of west Alabama through Thursday evening.

Tuscaloosa County EMA says rainfall totals are expected to be between 4-6 inches, with the watch also issued for Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Sumter and Walker counties.

Impacts are expected to begin Wednesday afternoon, with excessive runoff potentially resulting in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
NWS officials also said flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
