TUSCALOOSA, AL — Foul play is not suspect after two people were found dead in a vehicle at Crunch Fitness on McFarland Boulevard Saturday.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU), told local media in an update Monday morning that Tuscaloosa Police were initially called to the scene at 3325 McFarland Boulevard and found that the two individuals had been dead for several days.

After the Violent Crimes Unit assumed the investigation, Kennedy said no immediate signs of foul play or trauma was found.

He then said state and local authorities are working together to determine the manner and cause of death.

"At this time, this case does not appear criminal, and to secure the privacy of the victims and their families, no identifying information will be released," Kennedy said.
