Free Community Resource Fair Set For Saturday At New Heights
The event will have several free activities, including bouncy houses and inflatables, a gaming truck, a rock climbing wall and more.

TUSCALOOSA, AL β Tuscaloosa City Schools (TCS) says more than 20 businesses and organizations will be on hand at New Heights Community Resource Center Saturday for a first-annual Community Resource Fair.

TCS said the event will have several free activities, including bouncy houses and inflatables, a gaming truck, a rock climbing wall, a 360 photo booth and free haircuts. There will also be food trucks and a DJ.

"Our hopes for this event are for the community to see that Tuscaloosa has a variety of resources that a lot of people don't know about," sZone Manager Lazette Wright said.
Additionally, community organizations and businesses will be in attendance to give information regarding the services they offer, from health and wellness, summer programming for students, job opportunities, housing, education, and transportation services.
"This event is open to anyone, the entire community, regardless if you have children," Wright said.

TCS says the resources will cater to all age groups and backgrounds, from parents with young children to the elderly.
The event will also mark the first time that the community resources fair has been held at the New Heights Community Resource Center after it opened last January.
New Heights Community Resource Center is located at the former Stillman Heights Elementary location, 3834 21st Street, Tuscaloosa, 35401.
