Visit Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced it will host Tuscaloosa Downtown Walking Tours this April.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Visit Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced it will host free Tuscaloosa Downtown Walking Tours this April.

Tourism officials say participants will be able to explore more than 200 years of history on the 90-minute walking tour every Saturday in April, beginning at 10 a.m.

Visit Tuscaloosa, along with Historic Tuscaloosa, will host the free tours beginning at the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion. Tours will be led by Historic Tuscaloosa Executive Director Will Hawkins — an expert on the city’s past who will guide participants through key sites that showcase Tuscaloosa’s evolution from Alabama’s state capital to its vibrant cultural heart.
Each tour will be limited to 20 participants to ensure a personalized experience.

Donations are encouraged for Historic Tuscaloosa to support the preservation of the city’s historic sites.
Visit Tuscaloosa says space is limited and reservations are required.
