Hale County Woman Dead After Crashing SUV Into Fallen Tree Sunday

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal crash occurred on Hale County Road 42 near Clary Drive at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday when the 2012 Jeep Compass driven by Q’ueentria S. Ward, 26, struck a tree that had fallen onto the roadway.

ALEA says Ward was pronounced dead at the scene, which was approximately one mile northeast of Akron.
ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the fatal crash.
